Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy and how we use your data

Last updated: June 2026

LocalData (“we”, “us”) provides a subscription service that helps businesses find and qualify local-business prospects. This policy explains what personal data we process and why. Questions: support@localdata.so.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: your email address (and name, if provided) and authentication details when you sign up.
  • Billing data:handled by Stripe. We store a customer and subscription reference only — never your card details.
  • Usage data: basic logs of how you use the service (for example searches and lead reveals) to operate and secure it.
  • Business data:we also process publicly available information about local businesses (name, address, website, phone, ratings, and where available a generic business email). This is third-party business information used to build prospect lists — not data about you as a user.

2. How we use it

To provide and operate the service, process payments, send service and account emails, secure the platform, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Legal basis

We process account and billing data to perform our contract with you. We process usage and business data under our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the service and in providing B2B prospecting information; for business contacts we prioritise generic or role-based addresses.

4. Sharing and processors

We use trusted providers that process data on our instructions: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email). We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing.

5. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active and delete it on request or within a reasonable period after closure, except where we must retain records (for example billing) to comply with law.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction, deletion, export of, or object to the processing of your personal data. Email support@localdata.so and we will respond within the time the law requires.

Businesses: if you represent a business and want its information removed from our database, email us and we will remove it.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and stored with reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect it.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only, for authentication and session management. See our Cookie Policy for details.

9. Children

The service is intended for business users aged 18 or over and is not directed at children.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy; we will note material changes by email or in the app. For any privacy question, contact support@localdata.so.
