LocalData maintains a database of publicly listed business information for Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and Sweden. This page explains what we hold, why we hold it, and how to have a listing removed. Where a listing belongs to a sole trader, it also serves as the transparency notice required by Article 14 of the GDPR.

1. What we hold

Publicly available business information: business name, address, listed phone number and email address, website address, review counts and ratings, and our own assessments of website quality. This information is collected from public sources, including Google Maps listings and the businesses’ own websites, for businesses in Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and Sweden.

2. Legal basis and Article 14 notice

We process this information under our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in providing business-to-business market intelligence. Where a listing belongs to a sole trader, the information may qualify as personal data, and this page serves as the GDPR Art. 14 transparency notice for it:

  • Categories of data: the publicly listed business information described in section 1.
  • Source:public sources, including Google Maps listings and the business’s own website.
  • Purpose: providing B2B market intelligence.
  • Recipients: our subscribing users.
  • Retention: while the listing remains publicly listed.

3. Your rights

You can object to the processing of your listing (Art. 21), request its erasure (Art. 17), request correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16), or request access to what we hold about it (Art. 15). Email support@localdata.so with the business name and city. We action removal requests within 30 days and confirm by reply. Removed businesses are excluded from future collection.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Lithuania the State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt), in Estonia the Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee), in Latvia the Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv), in Sweden the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (imy.se).

4. Company risk receipts

Separately from directory listings, LocalData shows subscribing users receipts about companies they have chosen to watch: public facts published by the Registry of Legal Entities (JAR), the State Tax Inspectorate (VMI) and the State Social Insurance Fund (Sodra), each shown with its source and the date it was recorded. These are observations, never a score, rating or creditworthiness assessment, and we publish no conclusion about any company.

If you represent a company and believe a receipt about it is inaccurate, out of date, or that the underlying source record is wrong, email support@localdata.so with the company name and registry code. We re-check the source. Where a receipt is inaccurate or the record has been superseded, we stop showing the affected signal for that company — narrowed to the disputed period where the source publishes dated observations — so it reaches no customer and no future digest. Where the underlying record cannot be verified at all, we suppress the company from /risk entirely. We confirm by reply within 30 days.
